How much is a good night's sleep worth? I've slept in uncomfortable places before (my car, a floor, a squishy sofa, or a hard "easy chair" in a hospital room") but only for a night or two and I knew it was temporary.  I can't imagine sleeping night after night in my car with my kids, on my brother's sofa or in tent in someone's back yard. Although Family Promise gets families and kids back to independent housing and safe place to sleep within 60 days we always have families on our waiting list. I sleeping without my bed  (on June 20th) o raise awareness and funds to help more families - and especially the children - be able to sleep in their own bed.  

I don't how much a good night's sleep is worth but I know that it is worth more every year I get older which is....well, every year (darn). I hate to say it but I am 55.  Will you contribute $55, $550, or the dollar amount of your age to my effort?  I think you'll sleep better knowing that you helped a family experiencing homelessness to sleep better.
