Story
Wendy, who passed away in March 2019, was dedicated to raising funds for the new Cancer Centre being built at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. We have set up numerous pages for specific events already taken place - so thank you to everyone who has already donated. We have raised money through, Pub Quiz's, Charity Cricket matches, Sky Dives, Half Marathons, Canal Walks, Bingo evenings, Charity auctions etc etc. We're always open to new ideas and challenges that will enable us to raise more funds.
2024 and 2025 brings another couple of years of fund raising events which I hope people will support again although we're very aware of the financial challenges at the moment and how kind you've all been.
As always , every penny helps in support of these much needed facilities. The new Dyson Cancer Centre is now open with state of the art facilities but fund raising will continue . The RUHX charity support group is now helping to purchase a new scanner to be installed in the Cancer Centre but the cost is around the £1.5 million pound mark.
Your support so far has raised nearly £78,000 for The Wendy Getheridge Trust Fund and we are delighted to say that this has been recognised by having a room named after her - The Wendy Getheridge Room or Examination Room 9 should anyone be unfortunate enough to need the facilities
Thank you.
