Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On August 4th I'm taking part in the first Olympic legacy event - RideLondon-Surrey100 - in which I will join 25,000 cyclists on a 100-mile cycle ride from the Olympic Park, out towards Surrey, then back to finish on the Mall. I've chosen to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Care. My reasons for this are simple; this disease affects so many in the UK and they do such great work to give care and advice to those in need. In my own family I have experience of how it can impact the lives of those affected, and their loved ones, and the relief the BCC can bring. In my case this even involved my brother John, who was diagnosed with breast cancer! Until this happened I had no idea this was even possible.
Finally, I am proud to support this cause and add to the fundraising activities undertaken by my employer; EMCOR, who supports this charity through a variety of activities each year. During October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, employees at our 70+ locations nationwide wear pink clothing and pink hard hats to raise further visibility and awareness of breast cancer.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for your support.
