Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

My father has Alzheimer’s. Each morning when he wakes up we are thankful he’s still with us. Each morning when he wakes up you wonder what Alzheimer’s has taken from him today. No two days are ever the same.

It’s like a jigsaw puzzle that’s been completed but as time goes by the pieces of the puzzle are slowly taken away. Heartbreaking doesn’t come close to how it feels to watch someone go through the Alzheimer’s puzzle of life.

Awareness, research and knowledge will one day help defeat this illness, but this will only become possible with the support of us all  We are doing this challenge because we want to raise awareness and support for all those out there who suffer this illness, and for my hero my dad.
