Story
On June 13th I will be joining Street Child United volunteers for the Barcelona leg of this challenge, walking 26.2 miles through the city
The Street Child World Cup will provide a platform for the voices of girls and boys who have been at risk on the streets. During it they will produce a Manifesto - a vital document that will tell the world what they need to leave the streets behind.
They will arrive in Moscow ahead of the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. During the World Cup Marathon Challenge, they will take the Manifesto to the capital cities of the European countries that have qualified to take part, sharing it with governments, business leaders, football clubs and federations en route.
The aim of the Challenge is to increase awareness of the issues and to raise £100,000 for Street Child United to enable it to continue its crucial work in this field.
The Route: London - Brussels - Paris - Zurich - Belgrade - Zagreb - Berlin - Warsaw - Copenhagen - Reykjavik - Stockholm - Lisbon - Barcelona - Moscow.
