Story
Hi guys...yeah sooo..I am JUMPING OUT OF A PLANE. its for an AMAZING charity and my BEAUTIFUL MAMA..so PLEASE READ OUR BIO and DONATE so this great organisation can go on 2 help so many others!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Firstly I Keisha Paris Bedeau am letting the world know SKYDIVING...NOT MY IDEA! Lattie please do explain.......
Soooo one evening at Aunty Rosies we were all in the living room and she gave us leaflets about fundraising for St Lukes Hospice. There was a leaflet for the a 5k run and one on skydiving. I said I'd do the sky diving thinking everyone else was on board...tumbleweed..... everyone else had opted to do the run!!!
Keishy mentioned sky diving in a "contained space", I just heard "out of a plane!!!" lol
On a more serious note.... our reason behind doing this sky dive is Our beloved Rosie Blackwood, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunty, Friend, and much more to so many people who lost her 2nd battle to cancer on 9th March 2013.
With the care and support from the amazing Nurses and Doctors at St Lukes Hospice we knew she was in the absolute best possible place.
They went above and beyond to make her final days the best they possibly could with all her family and friends around her.
For 3 years my sister and I and our loved ones watched my beautiful Mum fight her hardest fight, and boy did she give it her all. Even when she was in constant agony she would put on a brave face and tell me to go tidy my room or be cuddling her heavy newborn Grandson! She never let anyone see her weak, because she was not weak in any sense, I could go on for days, weeks about how much of an incredible woman Rosie Blackwood was, so could plenty of others out there. She treated everyone with respect and kindness and always, always put others first, she was the best cook and host I know, we have about 100 dinner sets!
Everyday I miss my mum, I miss my world and I miss my family, thats what she was, my everything so I am skydiving to not only remember her and throw myself out of a plane but to honour her, I am so proud to be her daughter and I know my sister is too. We were raised right, Simple.
Aunty Rosie was, and in my eyes still is the strongest woman I know. She was always smiling and laughing and was all about her family. She constantly reminded me "I was at your birth" lol and continued to play an important role in my life ever since, until she left us to be with the Angels on the evening of March 9th 2013.
She left behind 2 beautiful daughters Keisha "my baby" and Ayanna "my 1st born" who every day continue to make their mum proud with everything they do.
Im sad that shes gone, everyday I miss her, but I'm happy she is no longer in pain and finally at peace and I take comfort in knowing that I have a guardian angel watching over me.
St Lukes Hospice took the most amazing care of my world and I will be forever grateful and in admiration for the work they do, so I am asking you all to DIG DEEP..yes deeeep..... and help us honour my Mum, Aunty and St. Lukes Hospice.
Thanking you all in advance for your support.
Love Keisha & Latoyah
