Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I am running in the Edinburgh Marathon on 22nd May 2011 and raising money for the NSPCC.
I have done a half marathon before but this is the first full marathon. Training is going well but 26 miles is still quite daunting! Just finishing will be fantastic but my target is to finish in 4 hours 15 mins which is a mile every 9 mins 30 secs. As part of the training I am also running in the Stafford Half Marathon on 20th March.
I am raising money for the NSPCC. I'm sure this charity needs no introduction at all. The work they do to prevent child abuse, cruelty and neglect is incredible. Every child is born into this world innocent and deserves a chance. No child deserves to be abused or neglected. Everyday on the news you hear horrific stories of child abuse that are beyond comprehension. It is so saddening, but it is good to know that there are good people out there doing everything they can to stop this abuse. The NSPCC do fantastic work to help innocent children in need in this country especially with the running of the Childline child support service. Any money you donate will go towards supporting the running of Childline and the other essential work the NSPCC do.
Any donation you can make big or small is sincerely appreciated. Thank you for your support!
