Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I ran the 2009 New York Marathon for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my dad on November 1st. He died suddenly on October 27th 2008 from a heart attack and I wanted to do something positive in his memory. I chose the New York marathon because it was close to the date of his first anniversary and the race date was also his birthday - so it seemed like a perfect thing to do. It was also a challenge that I thought would be tough but achievable and I'm thrilled to have done it in 4hrs 27 mins (even though my legs felt like they'd been injected with concrete for a couple of days afterwards !).
I realise that for many people money is scarce at the moment, but it would be great if you would sponsor me and anything you can do to help will be much appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks
