We support disadvantaged 11-30 year olds to get their lives on track.

Story

Please sponsor my 45 mile cycle ride from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle on Sunday 6th October 2019 in The Prince's Trust's Palace to Palace 2019 Cycle Ride. I want to raise money for The Prince's Trust because I believe that their work with young people is vital for the community. With budget cuts in schools and the new GCSE reform, young people from impoverished areas are finding it harder than ever to find work, further made worse as many employers do not understand the new 9-1 system. Ofqual found that 23% of employers, 16% of parents and 8% of universities thought that grade 1 (the bottom grade) was the highest.

The Prince's Trust aims to provide support for young people in impoverished areas. For example, The Prince's Trust offers financial aid to support young people during work-related training and hosts multiple programmes to improve their employability skills.

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.
