Story
Every year, a daring few from Keebles undertake a challenging hike through our local natural reserves not just as a test of endurance and will, but also to demonstrate our commitment to a chosen charity. It is often a gruelling task, where inexperienced hikers push themselves to their limit in order to eventually regale in the achievement of overcoming a strenuous, personal goal for a good cause.
This year is slightly different, however.
Keebles regrettably lost Vanessa Fox, one of our longest tenured colleagues, to breast cancer after a long and hard fought battle through her treatment. In honour of Vanessa’s struggle, we elected to support her favourite charity, Breast Cancer Care, as our chosen office charity earlier in the year. Now, in her memory, we are dedicating this trek to her and what she meant to our firm.
We choose to take this tragic event as an opportunity to unite, across all of our offices, throughout our various departments, roles and seniority, to accept this task.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 5200ft (1585m) of ascent, tackling the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in just over 12 hours.
Please show your support by making a contribution, whether big or small, to this fundraiser in support of Breast Cancer Care.
Thank you.
