Dig out your neon yellow scarves, yellow socks, hats, tops, skirts - ANYTHING - and let's get celebrating together to
show our young people at KCEPS that how they feel matters
this World Mental Health Day!
Last year, we painted the school in the most radiant and happiest splash of yellow: everywhere we looked there were smiles, lots of chatting, honest revelations and SO MUCH LAUGHTER! Who knew being so open and honest about our mental health could be so fun?
Unfortunately, even though we are trying our best to increase young people's aptitude to talk about their mental health, there are some sad national figures, which make our emphasis on this important part of our children's education ever more pressing. According to NHS figures, nearly half a million young people are being referred for mental health problems every month, with many not being able to get the support they need.
This needs to change. Young minds need our support - your support.
So, let's paint King's Cliffe yellow again, and let's spark up those conversations about our mental health even more than we already are: let's celebrate our individual needs, personal sparks and together we can ensure our young people are as happy as they can be!
On Monday 10th October, all children, and adults and members of the community, are invited to wear as MUCH YELLOW AS YOU CAN! We are going to start our week with a bang of happiness!
Please donate to this page as little or as much as you can to support such a fantastic charity!
Let's go King's Cliffe: let's be happy!
