Story
After running the London Marathon in April this year I vowed never to run again - many months of training followed by 26 miles of pain and two whole days of seized up muscles meaning I couldn't walk proved to me that I am not a natural athlete!
However, a few days after the marathon, a family friend fighting cancer received the news that it was terminal. Then, a second family friend received the same news shortly after.
Both of these amazing ladies have now passed away, so when I received an email from Cancer Research asking me to compete in the Half Marathon to raise money, I knew that putting myself through the physical side of a half marathon would be nothing in comparison to what anyone with cancer or thier families have been through.
Thank you so much for any donation you can make, and keep your fingers crossed that I can walk after this one!
