Story
In December 2021 our amazing Grandad lost his short but brave battle with cancer. Whilst he did not require inpatient care at the Katharine House, the hospice provided incredible care to my family with unlimited emotional support, compassion and answered every question we had to help us understand and process what was happening.
I have always been aware of the work the Katharine House Hospice do but I never fully understood the impact of how important this charity is to the local community and the people and families who so bravely require their services.
It is unfortunate that I’m sure we all would’ve known of someone who has required the services of this invaluable charity. It costs £9 a minute to run the Katharine House, that is almost £13,000 PER DAY!
I know things are hard for everyone this winter but if you can spare anything at all to help me and Lewis reach our target but most importantly keep this charity doing the amazing work they do we would be very grateful.
Our Grandad was a true legend, , the most amazing man we have ever known, we miss him so much. He would say we were absolute crack pots running around spiceball dressed as Santa’s but he would also be so proud..
Thank you for visiting our page and reading our story. Lots of love Kayley and Lewis xx
