Story
The statistics of people being affected by cancer are crazy. Whether it's direct or indirect, a shocking amount are affected every year. My family, as well as too many close friends of mine have been through this horrible ordeal and it means so much that I can support a charity which works to fight and cure cancer; and whilst sometimes cure isn't an option, they work hard to support these people.
This is a charity that is close to my heart, and by donating you not only supporting me in your belief that I can run the whole thing (eep) but you are also supporting the thousands of people affected by cancer.
Every mile of this race I will be running for my beautiful Mum who sadly passed away after her second battle with cancer in 2004. I would do anything to stop people going through the pain we did, or at the very least help them through it. I'll also be running for all those that have been through and beaten cancer - without charities such as this, it may not have been possible. Every penny is a step closer to the cure. Perhaps there'll never be a ultimate cure, but it's worth a try, right?
Thank you so much for your support. It's worth it, even if it's to have a giggle at my tomato face at the finish line.
Please dig deep and sponsor me – it’s quick, easy and totally secure. Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by amazing supporters like you. By sponsoring me you can help more people survive cancer.
