Story
Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer with Waterloo Uncovered. This charity combines world-class archaeology with a programme of care and recovery for veterans and serving military personnel suffering from some of the physical and mental impacts of their service. Since 2015 the charity has been excavating on the site of one of the world's most decisive battles - Waterloo in Belgium. In that time, we have supported over 100 beneficiaries and have made important new discoveries about the battle and the men who took part. Support us now to help us continue to support more veterans and military personnel!
In order to support this amazing work I am taking on my own 2.6 Challenge! Between 28 May - 18 June I will be walking at least 2.6 miles every day. Please support this campaign by donating whatever you can!
Working with Waterloo Uncovered allowed me to see the full positive potential that archaeology has to offer, through changing the lives of others for the better! I studied archaeology at university, so being able to use my academic passion in this positive way is just incredible. The people who work, volunteer and participate within this charity are so wonderful, and I have definitely made some awesome friends through Waterloo Uncovered!
