Story
Where to begin....... Having squandered much of my 20's* it seems my 30's are becoming my years of challenge. So having done a half marathon and full marathon in my 30th and 31st year, i then set my sights on an Ultra Marathon. *i regret nothing
Ever since moving to Lake District the Lakeland 50 has piqued my interest and this year i was lucky enough to secure a charity entry raising money on behalf of Epic Kidz. Honestly, i had never heard of this charity before (a different charity is picked each year by the race directors), however, having done my research i can wholeheartedly say i am proud to be supporting a charity that enhances the lives of young people through grants. The grants go to help volunteers lead sports and recreational groups, something that i was very fortunate to have access to growing up and helped shape the person i am today.
So all i need to do now is raise a modest £100 or more and train to run 50 miles in under 10 hours, because a challenge isn't a challenge unless i set myself a really hard target. Race day is the 28th July, 12 weeks and counting.
All help raising the funds for this amazing charity will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
K
