Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 5th June I am taking part in an obstacle and colour walk/run with my boyfriend Sam to raise money for St Cuthbert's Hospice in Durham. Here's why...
Last year on the 8th July, my Mum found out that her battle with cancer was over, unfortunately it was a battle that was lost. After nearly three years, our journey was coming to an end. My Mum was a strong woman, and always one to tackle problems head on, so she had already decided that she was going into a hospice for her final days. When it was time, my Mum went to St. Cuthbert's hospice in Durham and spent around 8 days there.
A few months before all of this happened, my mum had been looking at sponsored events to raise money for various charities that she had encountered, to say thank you for all of the care she received throughout the journey, but unfortunately her health deteriorated quickly and it never materialised. I know my Mum would be thankful to the staff at St Cuthbert's for all they did (not only for her but for our family) and I want to fulfil her wish to give something back, to say thank you for everything that they have done for us all.
