Story
Hey hey everyone!!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page :)
I understand that this may sound cheesy but I do think that it is easy to take things for granted, but that we should make the most of what we do have and use it to help others as much as possible. So, earlier on this year I set myself up with the challenge to complete the "Run to the Beat" half marathon on the 27th September 2009. "Run to the Beat" is literally that - running to the beat of the bands and music around the 13 mile course, in London - so if you're in London that day then please come and cheer to the beat :)
My aim is to complete the London Marathon by the time I'm 25 (best to give it a few years just in case I'm rejected the first few times!!). But, I thought I'd better start off with something a little shorter (although whilst training, it doesn't seem a lot shorter!!). I'd love to be able to raise money for charities which mean something to me, and in turn help other people.
I have chosen to raise money for the NSPCC as I have found that teaching children gives a real insight into the issues that children so young have to contend with and they need all the help that they can get!! It may be a bit early to set this up but I need some motivation - and the NSPCC has given me the target amount of £450 so I had best get started!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Every penny counts and will make such an enormous difference and will be ever so much appreciated by me, and the NSPCC!!!
Lots of love,
