Hi I am running the British 10km London race in two weeks time for my patients. I have worked in haematology inpatient care at UCLH for 4 years, in this time I have met the most incredible people. The patients have shown my what brave looks like as they have heard news and experienced side-effects that nobody should. Their bravery and resilience inspires me to work harder, learn more and keep helping people. Their fortitude and dignity is breathtaking.
The nurses I work with are hero's, the dedication, empathy and compassion that they go to work with everyday is beautiful and they go above and beyond the expectations every day. Being a nurse within this intelligent, gentle and driven group of people has been the best training I could have asked for.
Help me give back to keep making our patients hospital experiences better and safer and keep giving the amazing nurses and healthcare assistance training and resources to optimise their care.
For 25 years Haematology Cancer Care has supported patients, their families and staff in the Haematology Unit at UCLH to help provide transformational treatment and personalised care. Uniquely, we are run by senior clinical staff working closely with all haematology teams and haematology patients ensuring donations make a significant impact on the services here at UCLH.
