Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Kayla & i am 20 years old. After many years of doing sponsored rides with my pony & now my horse & raising thousands for Cancer Charities & local hospices I decided this year i would try to raise some money for a different worthwhile cause that is very much in desperate need of funds.
I come from a Military family & grown up in Army quarters & living the Army family life. Thankfully my Dad, Grandad & Great Uncles came through the wars & troubles to live their normal happy lives but everyday we see men younger than myself are coming home without limbs, very poorly or by plane, then hearses through Wootten Bassett for their re-patriation to their final resting place.
These men & women go to fight battles & wars that are not ours & do so without hesitation. They need to know that someone even as young as myself respect & support them.
Even if I can make a very small difference, it is better than doing nothing to help.
To raise money I shall be participating in a 5 mile ride through windsor great park then finally riding across the finish line of Ascot racecourse. I shall be riding my friends horse cushty, who is semi fit and very excited to take part in this worthwhile cause. There will only be 2010 horses and riders participating in this historic event so hopefully, together - we can make the world of difference to soldiers that have suffered greatly from the wars, or families that no longer have there sons/daughters/fathers and mothers with them now.
Please help me & Cushty to help them, our Heroes.
Thankyou
