Story
THE WHY
Trinity Chapel is a church that has celebrated many glorious years in the East End of London. To God be the glory! After several years of renting our current location, the Discovery Centre on Jenkins Lane Barking, we now have to move as the landlords have other plans for the building. Despite various obstacles, we have secured a place called The Brook, that we will call our home going forward. The new place is also located in the East End of London near Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford. The Brook is a dilapidated building and needs necessary structural repairs to make it safe for use by both the community around us and the church.
THE ASK
The Brook - A building to revitalise Abbey Road for Church and Community. We would love for you to partner with us, and to support our desire to provide a new home for Trinity Chapel to serve our Church and our community at large. As a Church we are very excited about this amazing project. We have already raised a substantial amount from Church funds and members contributions and have made a start on consultants and architects. We are grateful to you for considering helping us to improve the facilities in your local community. The design of The Brook includes a community hall, meeting rooms of various sizes, a large central space, and hospitality areas, creating an extremely flexible building for both community and Church.
So this is me, Kay Odusanya kindly asking you for any donation you can make, to raise the funds for the necessary building works - there are considerable works to do to bring the building to a reasonable standard so that it could serve both the community and the Church.
The task is to run from the new location Abbey Road E15 3LZ to the current location Jenkins Lane IG11 0AD and then back to Abbey Road (the starting point) - 5k each way
Thank you in advance for your generosity and your contribution towards a good cause. I look forward to updating you on our progress.
