Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our team page.
Our challenge is in memory of Kay Mowbray, Richard's Mum and Paul's mother-in-law. All who knew Kay remember her as a fun, loving person with a huge enjoyment for life.
Kay was diagnosed with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer in June 2013, having 'beaten' the disease 12 years ago. Sadly, it was particularly agressive and she lost her battle just 3 months later.
On 14th June a group of 7 of us shall be walking the hightest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales (Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon) all within 24 hours. Supported by drivers so we can hopefully get some sleep between mountains!
Our team is committed to trying to raise as much money for Cancer Research UK from this challenge in order to help them find ways to beat this disease that impacts on so many peoples lives.
Research gave Kay 12 years she might not have had, in which she saw four grandchildren born and grow into fantastic children. With more research maybe she could have had the years to see them become adults. With your help that may be true for the next generation.
This is our team sponsorship page, but if you'd prefer we each have individual pages that you can donate to.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many Thanks
Paul
