Aiming to raise £25,000 for the Parkinson's UK Active Community Grants Programme

Story

I am running the Scottish 10k in memory of my Gran and to raise money for Parkinson's UK. I am running three 10ks this year, and this is my second!

Having ran the Glasgow Women's 10k in memory of my Grandma, Marion, earlier this year - it just felt right to honour my Gran, Betty, in this way too.

My Gran was an extraordinary woman, despite suffering from ill health for a lot of her life (including having Parkinson's disease), she had an exceptionally strong spirit. She was funny, warm and incredibly wise, and so many people say that she had some kind of 6th sense. I feel so lucky to have known her as a child, she has shown me what true strength is and she still guides me today.

Any donations you can make would mean so much to me and my family, and help Parkinson's UK continue their great work and hopefully one day find a cure.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
