Kay Logans Charity Swim, 26 February 2012
We help our hospitals to go further

Story

I'm not sure how many of you are aware but a year ago on the 27th February this year I had a Liver Transplant (nothing to do with my lifestyle - just one of those things)!!

I was so well looked after during these troubling times by the staff at the Freeman that I wanted to do something to help others in the future that will go through the same thing I did.

My old swimming pals and I are going to do a charity swim which we hope will raise alot of money for the Liver Education Fund at the Freeman Hospital. The money will go towards research to help find new drugs to make people like me life's alot easier.

We have managed to secure Boldon School's swimming pool for 3 hours on Sunday 26th February - A massive shout out to Steven Brown from Mitie for the free use of the pool.

To make this a bit of a challenge we are going to try and complete a total of 50 miles between us. I know this is a lot to ask but we are asking people to do a minimum of one mile

So please dig deep and donate now.
