Story
10 years ago our beautiful baby girl Isobel was born, she was a wonderful gift and brightened our lives. Three years two months later she passed away after a very short illness. She suffered with a medula blastoma. Sadly her tumour was devestating. She was very happy, funny & kind and she really had a lot of friends. Which sounds elaborate for a three year old but it was quite true.
Friends often ask what we’ll do on her birthday, the answer is nothing, as there’s no party to organise, no presents to buy, no cake to make, it’s the most empty of big days in the year.
This year, on what would have been her tenth birthday, I’m raising funds for the brain tumour charity by running a half marathon. I like running and it has helped me to get through the hard times. Whether running alone or with a group both are great therapy. So I’ll run always thinking of our little girl, when it’s tough running up those hills, I think of her 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
It would be pretty great to be able to make those miles mean something to the brain tumour charity so if you can I’d really appreciate it if you could spare the cost of a birthday card to donate to this great charity.
