A truly remarkable 90 year old pensioner, Betty Bromage is shortly to embark upon an aircraft wing walk, a 100mph zipwire challenge into a Snowdonia former slate mine and an abseil challenge to raise £8,000 for a new summer house in the garden at an Abbeyfield house in Cheltenham, where she lives.
For Betty Bromage such challenges are not new, she has already wing walked 3 times raising money for Sue Ryder, Air Ambulance and the Cobalt Unit.
"While others at my age might prefer to take it easy, I just love the adrenaline rush of doing something extreme as a wing walk", said Betty.
"The other residents think I'm a bit mad but they're all incredibly supportive. They came to watch my wing walk at Staverton airfield last year and they have often got involved with fundraising too", continues Betty.
