Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On 29th March this year I will be taking part in the Wilmslow Half Marathon, followed by the Manchester 10k on 17th May and finally the Great North Run on 20th September.

I will be running all three races in aid of Alzheimer's Society - the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Having witnessed the cruelness and severity of the disease with both my Nanas, this is a charity I feel stongly about supporting and am therefore taking this opportunity to raise as much money as possible.

Dementia is a progressive disease of the brain affecting approximately 700,000 men and women in the UK and to date no prevention or cure has been found. As well as investing in research towards finding treatments and pursuing a cure, Alzheimer's Society provides invaluable support and care for those affected by the disease and their carers.

If this is a cause you would like to support then please sponsor my running madness!

For more information on the Alzheimer's Society please visit their website at http://www.alzheimers.org.uk

Many thanks for your support.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
