MS 10km Walk London 2023 in memory of my Mum and Dad

MS Walk London · 16 September 2023 ·
It’s about time I do this.
My mum was diagnosed with progressing MS a year after i was born. Me and my sister helped my dad in caring for my Mum through alot of our childhood. We didnt live with them after the age of 11 and 15 but we were always there to help Mum. When i was around 13/14 our Dad started to become unwell - he was in hospital for 6 months - had lots of tests and ended up completely paralaysed and unable to talk. We were told Dad also had MS. We was told it was very rare but both parents had MS. Sadly Dad died in 2008 and Mum 6 years later in 2014. I want to raise awareness of this disease. No matter what life threw at my Mum she was always determined to walk and not lose her abilities. Unfortuantely for Dad it hit him quick and hard. I hope there will come a day that we can stop MS from progressing but MS Trust/Society helped massively when they were alive. I want to do this walk in memory of them both as i miss them very much and to meet other families who i can also show my support to :-)
