Update!  I've done it!!!   Great event, great day and very pleased with my time of 2.12.42.

As you may or may not know I am doing the Reading half marathon on April 1st! I have run 10km events before but this is my first official go at this distance.  I've never asked for sponsorship for the others, but I've decided to on this occasion.  

I've decided to run and raise money for Dogs Trust.  I got my little Buddy from there about 18months ago and so I know the great work they do.  Buddy was found as a stray in Ireland and was taken to the pound, if Dogs Trust hadn't picked him up, sadly it would have been game over for him.  They find new homes for dogs that have found themselves in trouble (through no fault of their own) and they never put a healthy dog down.  Why support an animal charity rather than one that looks after humans you may ask?  Well, simple really, if WE don't look after animals, who will?  Yes it's a bit soppy I know but then I guess I am a bit soppy when it comes to animals.

If you could spare a couple of quid I would massively appreciate it. Knowing that people have sponsored me will really spur me on in the run up to the event and on the day itself.
