Story
This spring, we will be taking our hiking boots to Scotland to complete the West Highland Way, raising money for The Brain Tumour charity.
We will be completing the 96 mile multi-terrain hike over 6 days, starting near Glasgow passing Ben Nevis and completing our trek in Fort William. Our journey will be unassisted, wild-camping through the highlands with only our backpacks (and a small flask of scotch) for company.
We have chosen to raise money for The Brain Tumour charity in memory of Sue (Katy's Mum) who sadly lost her short and hard-fought battle with Cancer in 2006 at the age of 40.
With survival rates still so low for certain types of brain tumour, and having seen first hand the sudden and devastating effects, we're hopeful that continued support into the research of this disease will provide a more positive outlook for the future of tumour treatment.
"The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, making a difference every day to the lives of people with a brain tumour and their families. They strive to fund pioneering research to increase survival, raise awareness of the symptoms and effects of brain tumours and provide support for everyone affected to improve quality of life."
If you can, please help us out, P's or £'s - any amount is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Katy & Sean
