My husband Geraint entered me for the Ride London ballot without telling me so imagine my surprise when I got a place! This is a huge challenge for me and I am absolutely up for it, but it would be a shame to put so much time and effort in without helping a good cause. 

I know we get inundated with requests for sponsorship and it becomes a bore, but I haven't asked to be sponsored for anything since the school hopscotch championships in 1973! I hope friends will agree that this is a worthwhile charity and dig deep to give me that extra push on the day.
