Story
On Sunday 21st April 2024, I will be running the London Marathon to raise vital funds for St. Catherine’s Hospice so that they’re able to continue with their help for terminally ill people.
Running the marathon is going to be one of my biggest physical challenges yet but I would like to do this to say thank you for their help.
St Catherine’s Hospice is a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care and support
to local people, their families, friends and carers living in Crawley, Horsham, Mid Sussex and
East Surrey. Every day St Catherine’s needs over £17,000 in voluntary donations to provide care
and support for people with a terminal illness and their families. Without help from people like you, we wouldn’t be able to offer the vital services we do. It really does make a difference to our patients, family and friends at a time when they need it most.
In 2021, St. Catherine’s came out to help with my father in law who sadly needed the care that they provide. With Covid still hanging around, St Catherine’s was able to help us with keeping Chav at home where he could be surrounded by his loved ones, without their amazing team this may not have been possible.
We sadly lost Chav on the 7th May 2021.I know he’ll be so grateful for this as well as watching and cheering me on.
Exceeding my target of £2500, would be absolutely amazing and would mean so much to me as my donations to St. Catherine’s would be able to provide care and support to other Families in these difficult times.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and your generous donations!
This is not going to be easy but bring on April 2024!
