Story
Katy Holmes was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in October 2011 when she was just 10 years old. She was an amazing little girl who fought very hard against her tumour but sadly passed away on the 19th January 2012..
Rock FM's Cash for Kids and the Lancashire Evening Post have teamed up to support the family of Katy Holmes to raise funds to create a new charity in Katy's name.
The money raised will be used to fund the research of Paediatric Brain Tumours in hope that one day a cure will be found.
Already an amazing amount of money has been donated to Katy's Trust via Cash for Kids through various fundraising events that have been held throughout Lancashire by family and friends of The Holmes Family and also many people who have been touched by Katy's story.
Along side this, approximately £10,000 has been raised through the LEP's Fighting for Katy Appeal which has gone to support Derian House where Katy was cared for.
To everyone involved... Paula, Dave and the rest of the family would like to say a huge thank you to you for supporting them.
