Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running to raise money for Isabel Hospice - an East Hertfordshire charity that provides local care and support for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. I care about this work for many reasons because it can provide support for patients both in their care centre and in their home. I have also seen how hospices like this can really make a difference to the families of patients.
With this in mind, I am embarking on my marathon training schedule from January. And whilst I love running - and if you are on this page you probably know that about me - this will be a huge challenge. The challenge starts now: 1) I need to do the miles - I shall be trying to train five times a week and squeezing that in will mean some early starts and social-life sacrifices. 2) I want to raise as much money as I can for this fantastic and important charity.
Sadly only I can get the miles done, but I would be really grateful for your help with (2).
Knowing that people have supported me will really help me on those cold dark mornings going out training and also on the day itself as I try and get through those 26.2 miles.
