I've decided to run a half marathon (Great Scottish Run - Glasgow) and to celebrate I am going to try and raise some money for a charity that has supported my daughter and our family since moving to Cumbria in 2013. 

4Eden is a fantastic charity that supports children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism within the Eden valley.  They provide respite for myself while providing Eleanor and her friends with lots of fun, whether simply at their office or out on a day trip. They also support adults with day to day activities and semi-independent living.

Like many charities that may rely on government funding it is fair to say that 4Eden, and therefore the families that use the charity, have suffered greatly during the years of austerity.  This situation has not improved much and any little I can raise will help support some amazing children and adults within the community. 

I enjoy running but it has never come easy.  I break out in a cold sweat just thinking about taking on 13.1 miles, so any support you can give, however big or small, is extremely gratefully received.
