Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.
Those that know me, know how much I love to run this event and each year the GNR is in my calendar - in 2022 I would have been running my 10th GNR and was so excited to hit that milestone but then things quickly changed. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 2022 and the year of running, exercising and holidays became a year of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Throughout 2022 I had amazing support from the NHS, family, friends and breast cancer charities namely Breast Cancer Now. Without having to ask, their amazing nurses and volunteers took me under their wing.
I’ve been so desperate to get my fitness back to where it was but this years run will be a huge challenge and, it’s been tough watching my fitness disappear but I’ve worked hard trying to get to a place I feel like I can run again.
In contrast, Paul has never attempted this distance before so we have agreed to run this year together to show how truly thankful we both are for the incredible work and support Breast Cancer Now provides.
