We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

A successful, if hot, ride around the Isle of Wight on Sunday raised £440 for Brain Research Trust. It was a challenging ride in the heat of the sun, on the hottest day of the year so far.  It was also a lot of fun and I’m grateful for the support of the charity at the various refreshment stops around the island - and my fellow riders who kept me smiling all day.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated, or who took time out to learn a little about the charity and the research it funds.  I hoped to raise £250 for the charity to enable them to continue to research into brain tumours which kill more children and adults under 40 than any other form of cancer.  16,000 people are diagnosed with brain cancer in the UK every year.  Your generosity in exceeding the target is appreciated.

If you want to donate to this cause, it’s not too late!

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
