easyJet's charity partner is UNICEF. Last year £1.4m was raised through onboard collections from our passengers.

This year easyJet staff are making their own personal contribution with 'Race the World'. The idea is for all staff to log the kilometres we walk, run, swim, cycle or row from now until the end of September.

Our aim is to race 40,075km - the circumference of the world. For every 10km covered easyJet will give £1 to UNICEF in addition to money raised by friends and family directly.

I aim to run, walk, and swim 70km by 30/09/2013. A polio vaccine can save a life and costs just 40p. Just £100 will help upto 250 children and save lives. Ill keep you updated with my progress!

In addition to this there is a grand finale on the night of 30th September 2013 where easyJet employees have been given the opportunity to run Gatwicks runway from Midnight! I am participating in the event and am very excited.
