My best friend Vicky Priest, passed away after a very short battle with cancer in September 2014.

Vicky loved all things London, especially the marathon.  Not only did she run it a number of times she loved to attend and cheer the runners.  I myself would never have entered the ballot if it wasn't for her.  I found out shortly after she passed away that I got a place in the ballot - and after having to postpone due to having a baby last year I'm now ready to go.  

The Eve Appeal is a charity that supports research into women's cancers.  Awareness of gynaecological cancers is extremely low and many women don't even know there are 5 types.  Every day in the UK 55 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer and 21 will die, The Eve Appeal are determined to change this.
