Story
Hello All,
I am planning on running two half marathons come September, one being The Great North Run in Newcastle and the other The Great Scottish Half Marathon in Glasgow!!! First attempt at a half marathon and training is well underway and if I manage to drag myself round the 13.1mile courses it'll be a massive achievement for me!!! Therefore I thought I'd do my bit of goodwill and raise money for a charity, the chosen one being The Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Trust.
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease which affects approx 9000 people in the UK. It particularly affects the lungs and digestive tract by clogging them with thick sticky mucus, making breathing and digesting food difficult. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is an amazing charity which funds research to treat and cure CF and ensures appropriate clinical care and support is available for people with Cystic Fibrosis.
Definately a worthwhile cause and any donation no matter how small or big will be greatly appreciated!!!
