Story
In April 2024 I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for the amazing charity 'Sport In Mind'. A charity who transform the lives and mental health of children and adults through sport and physical activity.
Having struggled with my own mental health I understand how difficult and isolating it can make your life. Personally, physical activity had a huge positive impact on my wellbeing and I now hope to raise money for this fantastic charity who support thousands of people across the UK to do the same.
Sport In Mind's programmes are delivered in partnership with the NHS and are specifically designed by people with personal experience of mental health problems alongside healthcare professionals.
They offer a huge range of free sessions such as; football, table tennis, badminton, tennis as well as yoga, pilates, walking and gardening. Taking part in any type of physical activity regularly really does have a positive impact on our mental health.
Sport In Mind's aim is to ensure that every single person in the country has the opportunity to improve their mental health through a physical activity session that is right for them and one they can enjoy, no matter their current personal circumstances.
1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem every year. Charity's like this can make a big impact on so many lives. But only with YOUR SUPPORT
Please donate if you can. Even the smallest amount can make a difference.
THANK YOU!
