Introducing the newest recruits of Cirque de Sore Legs...
We're swapping prosecco for camel packs and stilettos for flats, and taking on Britain's toughest outdoor challenge!
Back in July 2022, we separately attended a Courtney Black fitness boot camp. Fast forward 6 months and several drinks and dinners later, Lulu shares how she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and an idea was born! Taking on the 3 peaks for a charity that is close to our hearts. We've experienced the heartache of watching family members suffer and in 2023, we vowed to help. A fitness resolution and one with a motive to help.
So as Lulu breaks out her hiking boots and windbreaker prepares to drag an absolute beginner up Ben Nevis (4,413 ft), Scaffell Pike (3,210 ft) and Snowdon (3,560 ft), Katie starts climbing the stairs at work!
Britain's toughest outdoor challenge will be under our belts by the time Charles is King!
We want to thank you, finally, for heading to our page, reading our story and hopefully donating. All donations, of all sizes are hugely appreciated as it is going to a charity doing phenomenal work.
In 2009, Alzheimer's Research UK had a genetic breakthrough. Their scientists discovered two new genes related to Alzheimer's: the first breakthrough in 15 years. These new genetic clues opened the door to the next generation of treatment development, and now over 20 genetic variations have been linked to Alzheimer's. These discoveries are already being exploited with follow up studies zeroing in how the genes effect the disease.
We hope that some of our money raised will help them with their mission to to bring about the first life-changing dementia treatment by 2025.
Wish us luck!
