Story
This year I have decided to take part in the kiltwalk 2024 and have chosen to raise money for the Scoliosis support and Research Society which is very close to my heart♥️🏥
Back in 2015 I had my spinal fusion surgery to correct a scoliosis curvature. My condition was described as idiopathic which means there was no direct reason to cause this curve in my spine. I spent a whole week in Edinburgh sick kids hospital being looked after by my amazing surgeon and some incredible nurses. The support I received from friends and family during that time is something I am so grateful for!! 🥰
Since receiving my surgery I am now back to full health and it all seems like a distant memory. However there has been a lot of scoliosis cases left undetected and I really want to get the message out about this condition and raise money to help keep this soceity running. Also this organisation gives great support and provides accommodation to families who have a loved one receiving surgery. Any donations would be much appreciated and I am so excited to put myself to this challenge🤍
