Story
Our family are all going to run the Weymouth 10K Bay in memory of Connor as we want to raise as much money as we can for Gully's Place. If anyone wants to join us please sign up!
When the doctors found out that there was nothing further they could do for Connor, he was placed into palliative care at Gully's Place. We then had just over 3 weeks left with him where he and Mum stayed at Gully's Place and sometimes we stayed overnight with them.
We were looked after so well by the nurses and they helped us to make every day as enjoyable as they could. This gave our parents the opportunity to concentrate on us all as a family and create memories which enabled us to enjoy the short time left we had with Connor.
Due to Covid and the speed at which his cancer returned, Connor sadly never got to receive his Make A Wish. However, with the help of the nurses, doctors and physios, they did everything they could to make Connor happy. This included going to the Gully's Place beach hut, trips around Poole Park and the best thing of all, finding us a really kind lady who has donated one of her puppies from her new litter so that Connor is finally getting the dog he wished for. Sadly, Connor will not be able to meet his puppy but during Connor's last couple of days he was able to watch them by a 24 hour live video link.
If anyone would like to donate to reach our target of £1600 (Connor's age is 16) or sign up themselves to this run and run with us, please do.
