Mum and I have taken part in the Leeds 10k since the very first race in 2007. We have raised nearly £40,000 for breast cancer research. This will be the first year that my Mum won’t be doing the 10k with me… she will be with me in spirit. Mum died in April after fighting secondary breast cancer for 10 years. She lived life to the full and was the most inspirational I know. She was my rock! Mum was dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer and secondary breast cancer. In her memory me and family will be doing the Leeds 10k to help raise vital funds and continue her legacy.
