Story
The Sophie Hayes Foundation offers a pathway to true freedom for women survivors of human trafficking through unique employability programmes. The pandemic has meant a shift to entirely remote programmes and a new hurdle to overcome: Tech Poverty. So I'm aiming to raise a minimum of £180 to support one survivor through the programme.
To raise money towards this I am taking up a personal running challenge. I used to run quite a bit and now I barely run at all, so I'm setting myself the target of getting back up to running 18km a week through May. The fundraising side of things will definitely help the very unmotivated runner I currently am! If feeling VERY motivated I might try to make up the kms I didn't run in the first week of May due to my late sign up to this, but lets see how I get on this week first!
This is what the £180 I hope to raise can fund: - £60 will cover the cost of a tablet- £35 will cover the cost of the course materials- £20 will pay for a month of Internet. Anything that you give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance and wish me luck!
