On Sunday 21st May 2023 I will be running the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society / Dementia UK. I am running with my Grandma Phyllis and everyone else who suffers with this horrible disease in mind. 

“Irish Granny” “Lil Phil” & “Jolly” as she is fondly referred to by my family and friends has been a massive part of all our lives. Growing up in Dublin and later settling in Manchester she has touched the lives of so many over the years. Everywhere she goes everyone falls in love with her Irish charm and naughty ways. 

In 2020 during the pandemic she sadly started to deteriorate and was subsequently diagnosed with Dementia. 

This will be one of many challenges I will be undertaking to raise money in the fight against Dementia. 

I know money is very tight for people at the moment but if you can even donate £1 every little helps.
