Story
In March, for International Women's Day, I took on the challenge to walk over hot coals for Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL) and the amazing women and girl survivors of our city. My friends, family and others responded with overwhelming generosity and it was a wonderful evening.
Since then, the world has changed enormously and the need for SARSVL's services, and SARSVL's need for our support, is now greater than ever. So I'm taking up the national 2.6 Challenge to continue fundraising and do my bit to help save one of the UK's vital charities.
From now until the end of May, I'm going to complete 26 small challenges, and update this page and my social media daily as to my progress. You could show your support by sponsoring me, and/or sharing this page, or perhaps it will inspire you to take up a 2.6 challenge of your own as well or instead.
The 2.6 Challenge started on 26th April, when the London Marathon should have taken place, but it is ongoing and growing.

About SARSVL
Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL) supports women and girls who have been affected by sexual violence or abuse of any kind at any time in their lives, via a specialist freephone helpline, text, email, advocacy and counselling services. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are continuing to provide these life-changing and life-saving services remotely throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Every penny donated to a small, grassroots, community-based charity like ours really does make a difference, helping us to ensure we can be there for the women and girls who need and want us today and into the future.
