Story
The Nightsafe charity works with young people who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness and will provide accommodation, day centres with information, advice and guidance.
We will help with emergency needs and empower our young people to play a positive part in their local community
As we follow our roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions, Nightsafe continues to help vulnerable homeless young people across East Lancashire.Following the Coronavirus outbreak the whole world has been turned on its head and, sadly, Nightsafe has suffered as a result of it.Like many other charities our fundraising events remain extremely uncertain, funding streams have dried up and bids deferred indefinitely. Many of the young people we are supporting are homeless. Some sofa surf, some sleep rough under railway arches or in carparks - but what unites them is that they have nowhere to call home.Young people are the heart of everything we do at Nightsafe, but if we do not continue to raise £100K it may mean we are not able to offer these services to those who need it most.It is very difficult asking for money, we know there are a lot of incredible causes, but the truth is we have a massive financial hole and we need the continued support of the community now more than ever.
