Event: Raising the roof theatrical marathon, on 11 March 2017
Wallingford's theatre/cinema is leaking. The 160 year old glass roof is well past its sell-by date and must be replaced now. The cost is huge and we need your help.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are taking part in a 12 hour theatre marathon to raise funds for the Corn Exchange roof appeal. We will be stage managers for the day and would love it if you could sponsor us.

Wallingford is so lucky to have a theatre/cinema right at its centre. The building is in jeopardy and needs work. Through the theatre marathon we hope to boost progress towards the funds needed.

The Corn Exchange Wallingford was converted from a derelict Grade II listed building into a theatre and cinema by the local dramatic society (whose President was Agatha Christie) and opened in 1978 by Sir Peter Hall. The building is managed and run entirely by unpaid volunteers for the community.
